To expel air from the syringe and line, switch the three way valve so that it is in line with the plastic needle. Repeat the last two steps to remove all extraneous air from the IV line and syringe before using the device.
Measure the water in the syringe and add to the lyophilized drug vial.
Push the plastic needle straight down into the rubber closure.
Cover the plastic needle with the needle cover before hanging up syringe.
The syringe assembly is hung around the bag in the hood.
