Using Ampules, Filter Needles and an Intravenous Solution

Holding the syringe vertically, push in the plunger slowly to expel the air.

Do not spray drug solution contaminating the hood.

Only one or two drops from the needle tip are acceptable.

To adjust for the volume of drug you are measuring, place the excess solution back into the ampul.

Open the outer wrap for the intravenous solution bag and place the bag in the laminar flow hood.
