Using Ampules, Filter Needles and an Intravenous Solution

The syringe is a measuring device and air should be eliminated from the syringe

to properly use the device. Additionally, air should not be injected into a patient.

Turn the syringe vertical.

Tap the syringe with the fingertips to loosen air bubbles from the plunger and sidewalls.

Draw back on the plunger to bring any solution from the needle shaft back into the barrel.
