Media Transfer Test Continued

The syringe is pumped and 5 mL of the sterile water is withdrawn.

The volume of sterile water is adjusted and the air eliminated.

Five mL of sterile water from each of five vials is added to 25 mL of the ten times concentrated media to dilute the media to a five times normal concentration.

The solution in the vial is mixed.

One mL of the five times concentrated media is withdrawn, the foam eliminated and the solution measured.

One mL of the five times concentrated media solution is injected back into the sterile water vial to produce a solution this is approximately the normal media concentration.
